You could pay more for "monsters" hype! September 27, 2007
I have some monster products and there great, however for HDMI you don't need monster and wire will do go for gold plated and thats about it. Its all 0's and 1's. HDMI is designed to make it work without interfrence and all the problems of other cables therefore you don't need the $$$ cables for HDMI or optical for that matter! save money for other things....

Just read the title above. It's as simple as that. I paid $10 for this cable, maybe $15 with shipping, and it works just fine. I went to Best Buy and asked the salesperson why I should pay $160 for a Monster brand cable that does the same thing... he couldn't give me an answer that would justify paying $150 more than I did. You'd have to be a moron to buy those $160 Monster cables... or just really, really, wealthy!
