Yoga December 7, 2008 This video has more talking than anything else. I found her 'stoned' tone iritating at first and then creepy when I realized that she might just talk like that. The actual excercises, the few that were shown between monologues, were not that great either.
Waste of money.
Excellent Intro & Value to Pilates & Yoga September 9, 2008 This 3 disc set is a great value if you're looking to get into yoga and Pilates. The workouts are well articulated and organized. There is also a meditation section that I recommend after each workout to get you into a positive/good feeling/mood. I've definitely seen physical results from using this dvd. I've been doing it for 3 months straight and my waist has trimmed up and i'm much more flexible now. For the price that you can get it used or new, its a bargain, plus its 3 DVDs!!! The only other stuff you would need would be a mat, a small pillow/towel, a belt, and a dvd player/tv. Just buy it, you'll like it!
Waste of Time and Money August 27, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this DVD for toning. This is not the DVD for you if your goal is the same, it's boring, the instructors voice is annoying, it's slow, the instructions were way too long. If you have experience with yoga and/or Pilates you without a doubt will be disappointed. This should have been a free workout on YouTube or one of the other video sites. What a waste of time, money, and the little energy it took to do the workout OMG I can't even really call it a workout. I don't know what you would call this DVD other than Junk.

I got this dvd as a gift 3 years ago from a friend. Like most people who are unfamiliar with yoga and pilates I had no interest in anything that would make my body twist in ways that looked unnatural, so I let it sit on the shelf collecting dust for quite a while. Then, I ended up having bi-lateral knee replacement 7 months ago and even though I had undergone 2 weeks of intense in-hospital physical therapy, 2 weeks of in-home physical therapy and then 4 weeks of out-patient physical therapy, my legs were still not functioning correctly. I couldn't bend my legs all the way, my lower body was very stiff and lacked fluidity when I walked, I gained 20lbs that I just couldn't afford to and was suffering from a sharp pain in my left hip that the physical therapists could not find any reason for. I honestly didn't think I would ever recuperate fully and I was starting to get really depressed. Then I remembered that I had the Total Body Toner dvd, so I decided to pull it out and give it a whirl thinking that the stretching would do me some good. That was one month ago this week. I can honestly tell you that in this short of time, I have seen and felt a significant difference in my ability to bend my legs, I have regained almost all my strength in my entire body and I have even noticed a bit of tone coming back. My biggest applause for this dvd, is that I no longer have the pain in my hip, It literally vanished within the first 2 weeks of doing this program. I cant say enough good things about the work that Louis Solomon has put into this program and cant wait to see how else it will benefit me in the future as I continue to follow it as well as her other dvds. For those of you who think this dvd is a waste of time and money, because it wasnt "fast" enough or "exciting" enough, all I can say, is that you absolutely did not give this dvd a fair chance. Yoga is NOT something to rush through and you should go back to it and have some patience with it.
slow and slower March 19, 2008 I think that breathing is important, but this is hardly more than breathing. Not what I expected. I have other videos by other people that are MUCH better and MUCH more challenging, and not as boring...
